PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder using a medical medium in which a high quality image having no flaw can be outputted. SOLUTION: A roller having a continuous circumferential surface is used as a driven roller paired with a sheet feed roller and comes into surface contact, as well as line contact, with the medium being used for recording an image. The driven roller is imparted with water repellency. Basic material of the medium is pulp capable of absorbing liquid or PET incapable of absorbing liquid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
