<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection observation device in which at least two images which are different from each other in terms of the observing direction are observed at the same time on a display plane with a simple structure with a high illumination efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The projection observation device is provided with display elements 1L and 1R which display an image, projection optical systems 2L and 2R which enlarge and project images 3L and 3R which are displayed on the display elements 1L and 1R, a diffusion plate 5 which is arranged near the images projected with the projection optical systems 2L and 2R, and an eyepiece optical system 4 which projects the exit pupil of the projection optical systems 2L and 2R on the eyeball positions EL and ER of an observer.
