PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To house a battery (AA type) with a small outer diameter in a battery case for housing a battery (C type) with a large outer diameter without an adapter and without generating an positional deviation. SOLUTION: Tip parts 14 of four sheets of blade springs 13 in front and rear, on right and left are projected to the center of a case main body 1. A holder 5 is energized by an energizing spring 8, and a holder 9 is energized by an energizing spring 12 to be located in a position in the right side Figure. Opening a lid part 2, a C type battery 18 is inserted in the case main body 1 and the lid part is closed, then the blade springs 13 are pushed by the battery 18 to be settled within the recessed part 17, the energizing spring 8 is contracted and the holder 5 is moved downward, the energizing spring 12 is contracted and the holder 9 is moved upward, and the battery 18 is housed as shown in the left side Figure. When an AA type battery 19 is inserted and covered with the lid part, the blade springs are pushed by the battery 19 to be expanded, then a bottom end of the battery 19 is loosely fitted in a recessed part 6 of the holder 5, an upper end part is loosely fitted in a recessed part 10 of the holder 9, and the battery 19 is housed as shown in the right side Figure B.
