PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability by increasing load ability with respect to a radial load and a moment load at low cost. SOLUTION: This ball screw 1 comprises: a screw shaft 2 having a spiral screw groove 4 at its outer peripheral surface; a nut 3 outwardly fitted to the screw shaft 2 and having a spiral screw groove 5 at its inner peripheral surface; a plurality of balls 6 stored in a rolling passage constituted by the both screw grooves 4 and 5 opposite to each other; and piece members 8 for coupling the screw groove 5 of the nut 3. The piece members 8 are arranged to both ends of the nut 3 so as to be declined by about 90°in a circumferential direction with respect to a direction of generating the moment load, thereby dispensing with the ball at a center part of the nut 3. Accordingly, the load ability with respect to the radial load and the moment load of the ball screw 1 is increased, and the durability is enhanced at low cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
