PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the absorption rate legally allowed without lowering the radio wave emission level of radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic radiation absorption preventing mechanism (20) according to the present invention is constructed to be attached to and detached from the radio communication equipment (10), and is provided with a spacer (20c) to ensure a prescribed distance between the radio communication equipment (10) and a human body. The spacer (20c) functions as a mechanism that protects the human body from absorbing the electromagnetic waves. The height is adjusted so that the actual measured value of the specific absorption rate is less than the upper limit legally allowed when the radio communication equipment (10) with a belt clip (20) attached thereto is placed in proximity to a simulated living body with the spacer (20c) interposed there between.
