PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a science and engineering simulator having an algorithm for reducing a calculating time required for performing the numerical analysis of a linear simultaneous linear equation. SOLUTION: The dimension of a coefficient matrix Mk of a linear simultaneous linear equation appearing in making discrete respective objects to be analyzed, and performing the numerical analysis is calculated, and the number of dimensions Lk is compared with the number of dimensions L of a coefficient matrix M of the linear simultaneous linear equation appearing in defining a sum set S of a segment set obtained by making discrete the objects to be analyzed as the objects to be analyzed, and when the number of dimensions L of the coefficient matrix Mk corresponding to the respective objects to be analyzed is smaller than almost the half of the number of dimensions L of the coefficient matrix M associated with the sum set S, the numerical calculation of the simultaneous linear equation using the coefficient matrix Mk corresponding to the respective objects to be analyzed is performed. In the other case, an inverse matrix A of the coefficient matrix M associated with the sum set S is developed into a submatrix, and the numerical calculation of the simultaneous linear equation using the submatrix Ak is performed.
