PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an installation on a vehicle having a narrow width and to flexibly cope even with the case that the input shaft of a hydraulic stepless speed changer and the output shaft of a transmission are disposed in the directions in a parallel or perpendicular positional relationship. SOLUTION: The lateral size of the transmission with the hydraulic stepless speed changer as a whole in which an HST 1 is coupled to the transmission 4 is suppressed to the minimum limit without laterally protruding an HST mounting cover 9 from a transmission case 8, by mounting the cover 9 on the opening surface opened in parallel with the output shaft forward of the case 8, and mounting the HST 1 on the sidewall of a hollow protruding section 9a protruding in a slender manner in the direction perpendicular to the output shaft.
