The canvas (1) for enclosure of a space comprises inner and outer canvas elements (4, 5) bracketing at least one layer of an insulating material (6). The latter largely consists of fibers and is secured against slipping relative to at least one canvas element. The canvas is provided at least on two sides with rod elements (8) accommodatable in corresponding canvas holding grooves. An independent claim is also included for a tent incorporating load-carrying profile elements and the proposed canvas.
