REEF FOR PREPARING SEAWEED BED AND METHOD FOR CULTURING SEAWEED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reef for preparing a seaweed bed symbiotic with the nature without adversely affecting the surrounding environment and to provide a method for preparing the seaweed bed. SOLUTION: The reef for preparing the seaweed bed formed by arranging natural stone to be a settling substrate for the seaweed and fish scraps placed in a bag of a soluble material in a cage prepared by knitting numbered wires is provided. The soluble material is vegetable fibers or a biodegradable plastic. The bag is preferably arranged in the nearly center of the natural stone. The diameter of the numbered wires is preferably 3.2-5.0 mm diameter. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
