A process for producing a plastic knob comprises extrusion blow moulding the component as a single piece. An extrudate is formed in a primary stage, and consists of two different plastic melts. The extrudate is tubular and has an inner core (2) and an outer mantle (1). The core consists of a thermoplastic reinforced with filler materials, and the mantle consists of a soft thermoplastic which is not reinforced.
