摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which image blurring is eliminated and the occurrence of flicker is prevented while a prescribed brightness is maintained and its driving method. SOLUTION: The method for driving the liquid crystal display device comprises a first brightness adjustment step and a second brightness adjustment step. In the first brightness adjustment step, a brightness distribution on the display screens of the liquid crystal display devices in a plurality of light emitting units is caused to be a dark zone containing the location of driven scanning lines by adjusting the relative brightness among the light emitting units. In the second brightness adjustment step, the dark zone is shifted and it is secured that the location of the driven other scanning lines is in the dark zone by newly adjusting the relative brightness among the light emitting units on a prescribed timing.
