PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a load of a wide range act precisely on a sample in a load loading mechanism for a material testing machine. SOLUTION: An indenter 3 is provided in one end part 2a of a load lever 2 supported turnably onto a turning shaft 1a of a support part 1, in a load loading mechanism part 10, and force generating parts 4 are provided respectively in portions of different distances from the turning shaft 1a in the other end of a side provided with the indenter, sandwiching the turning shaft 1a therebetween, in the load lever 2. The indenter 3 is pressed to the objective sample, based on electromagnetic force generated by supplying a current to a solenoid coil 5 provided with a current regulating part 6 in the each force generating part 4, using the principle of the electromagnetic force generation.
