PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage standard apparatus, having a high resolution of output voltage by reducing the number of terminals in a programmable voltage standard element comprising Josephson junction arrays, formed by connecting many Josephson junctions in series for generating a constant voltage by the application of a bias current and microwaves. SOLUTION: The voltage standard apparatus is provided with a voltage standard element, having bias current terminals provided for each section sectioned by dividing Josephson junction, in which the Josephson junction terminals are connected in series by the number of exponent of 3; a bias current supply circuit for applying a bias current having a predetermined value which is independent for each section to the bias current terminals; and a control circuit for controlling the bias current supply circuit so that a predetermined bias current is applied to the Josephson junction array in each section and for controlling the application of microwaves.
