<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thigh artificial bone which can close a medullary canal MC and prevent broken pieces from entering into the spinal tract MC. <P>SOLUTION: According to this invention, a thigh artificial bone to be transplanted in a thigh bone is provided. This thigh artificial bone provides a neck portion to receive a bowl section, a collar section to fix the neck portion, and a bone graft stem section extending to the opposite side of the neck portion from the collar section. A portion of the stem section is at least linear so that it extends from one side of the thigh bone to the other side. The collar section is continued around the artificial bone and has a bottom extending continuously around the stem section so that it closes the medullary canal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
