PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a circuit breaker as a whole and to improve the reliability thereof, in a circuit breaker for electric power. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker 100 for electric power has: a making spring part 140 having a making spring 28; a breaking spring part 130 having a breaking spring 26; a make control part 120 for controlling the making spring part; a break control part 110 for controlling the breaking spring part; and a contact part 150 connected to the making spring part. A main lever 5 is used for transmitting spring force energized in the make spring to the breaking spring, and a breaking lever 8 is used for transmitting a part of force energized in the breaking spring to the break control part.
