PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hybrid material used for a transparent plastic film having an excellent gas barrier property, a hybrid material obtained by the method, and a laminated film having the gas barrier property and an image-displaying element by using the hybrid material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the organic/inorganic hybrid material is provided by performing a hydrolysis of a polymer expressed by general formula (1) and a hydrolysis or the hydrolysis and a polycondensation of a metal alkoxide in parallel by a sol/gel method.
