METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING THE MRS OF SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE BY INPUTTING MRS CODE

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating the MRS of a semiconductor device by inputting an MRS(Mode Register Set) code. CONSTITUTION: An MRS code is inputted through a semiconductor device(S110). Registers are provided in the semiconductor device and have the predetermined number of bit. Each of the registers sets a discrimination value for each bit in response ti the MRS code(S120). The discrimination value is output to a corresponding output node by the semiconductor device(S110). The predetermined number of bit is identical to that of the output node. The discrimination value is defined by M=2¬N, wherein M represents the number of generation and N represents the number of bit for the discrimination value.
