摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the appearance of a helical structure even in a wide interval between substrates, to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit between electrodes and to easily produce a device by making a liquid crystal material present in a closed space formed by a resin material and making plural numbers of the closed spaces present in the perpendicular direction to the substrate. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal material 107 is uniaxially aligned according to an alignment film 105. Moreover, the liquid crystal material 107 is present in a closed space formed by a resin coating film 106 and the closed spaces are present in the perpendicular direction to a substrate face. Further, the interval between the substrates is adhered and fixed by the cured resin material. In this case, a mixture of the liquid crystal material and the uncured resin adding a reaction initiator is held between a pair of light-transmitting substrates 101, 102 having electrodes 103, 104 in which the substrate interval is determined by a spacer 108 and the liquid crystal material 107 is aligned along the alignment film 105. Thereafter, the uncured resin mixed in the liquid crystal material 107 is cured so that the resin covers the liquid crystal material 107 to cure.
