PURPOSE: A method for controlling an on-operation in accordance with an off-state of an image display apparatus is provided to immediately perform a next on-operation algorithm without waiting for an on-signal of a remote controller, if a system turned off by cutting off AC power is turned on, thereby increasing an on-operation speed of the system. CONSTITUTION: In a standby mode(S81), a microcomputer continuously checks a system state, reads a flag value, and decides whether the flag value is '1'(S82). If so, the microcomputer continuously maintains the standby mode(S83). If a power-on signal is received through a remote controller(S84), the microcomputer turns on a cooling fan(S85) and turns on a lamp(S86). The microcomputer turns on an LCD panel(S87), and converts a system into an on-mode(S88). The microcomputer sets a set flag to '0'(S89). The microcomputer displays the on-mode of the system by using an LED(S90). |
