PURPOSE: A multistage placing-tensioning type prestressed girder is provided to extend a span by heighten the resistance against load and to improve constructability and economical efficiency by reducing the dead weight. CONSTITUTION: The multistage placing-tensioning type prestressed girder comprises the steps of tensioning each placed end to occur maximum compressive stress on the lower part of a girder and minimum tensile stress on the upper part of a girder, and overlapping each placed end, then placing over a bridge.
