PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable polyester resin composition improving moldability such as prevention of fusibility, improvement in mold release properties, shortening of molding cycle time or continuous resin pelletizing when a molding method such as film forming, injection molding, extrusion or spinning is utilized by increasing the crystallization rate of PHBH [poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate)] and biodegradable, i.e. degradable with a microorganism, etc., as one of waste disposal means and having excellent environmental compatibility facilitating waste disposal after use. SOLUTION: The biodegradable resin composition comprises (B) a PHA [a poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate)] having≤300μm average particle diameter and a melting temperature Tm2 and represented by general formula (1): [CHR-CH<SB>2</SB>-CO-O] (1) (wherein, R is an alkyl group represented by C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n+1</SB>; and n is 1-15) in an amount of 0.1-20 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of (A) the PHBH having a melting temperature Tm1.
