PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To paste a piezoelectric member and a channel member well in the process for manufacturing an ink jet head. SOLUTION: Before a cavity plate 10 as a channel member provided with a plurality of pressure chambers 16 along the upper surface and a piezoelectric actuator 20 as a piezoelectric member being driven electrically to vary the volume of the pressure chamber 16 are pressure bonded while sandwiching adhesive, a dummy surface electrode 34 having a material and thickness identical to those of surface electrodes 30 and 31 for driving the piezoelectric actuator is provided at a position of the piezoelectric actuator 20 corresponding to the back side of a part touching the cavity plate 10. Since a force pressing the upper surface of the piezoelectric actuator 20 is transmitted through the surface electrodes 30 and 31 and the dummy surface electrode 34 to the contact part of the piezoelectric actuator 20 and the cavity plate 10 concentrically, they can be pasted well.
