PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the inspection of the ball detection sensor of the variable prize winning device without generating the special game states while restricting the fraudulence and moreover, facilitate the work of removing the balls after the end of the inspection. SOLUTION: The variable prize winning device is provided having a ball detection means which is made convertible to the opened position of facilitating the reception of the balls from the closed state of hindering the reception of the balls based on the generation of the special game states and has a ball detection means for detecting the balls received and a control means which performs a control to discharge the prize balls based on the detection of the balls made by the ball detection means. The control means has a variable prize winning device discharge control means which performs a control to discharge the prescribed number of the prize balls based on the detection of the entry of the balls made by the ball detection means. The control means is also provided with a limited prize ball discharge control means which performs a control to discharge a smaller number of prize balls than the prescribed number thereof when the ball detection means detects the entry of the balls into the variable prize winning device at the timing other than that during the special game states.
