PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay which secures a favorable operating condition with no abrasion powder or the like produced in spite of simple constitution. SOLUTION: A moving contact piece 20 and fixed contact pieces 19, 21 are juxtaposed on a base 1, and then a card 100 is horizontally moved in a reciprocative manner by rotating a moving iron piece 32 based on excitation/demagnetization of a coil block 3 placed on the base 1. A moving contact 23 provided at the moving contact piece 20 is put into contact with or separated from fixed contacts 22, 26 provided at the fixed contact pieces 10, 21 by elastically deforming the moving contact piece 20. Card receiving portions 24a, 24b which are positioned at least upward and downward respectively are formed by bending an upper part of the moving contact piece 20, and an end of the card 100 is brought into contact with an inner face of the card receiving portions 24a, 24b.
