PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat-shaped steel sheet pile with excellent economy, which has a light unit weight while ensuring cross-sectional performance. SOLUTION: In this hat-shaped steel sheet pile, a relationship between the unit weight (w) per a wall width of 1 m and geometrical moment (I) of inertia satisfies expression (1), w<I/(470)+80: and a relationship between an effective width (B) and a flange width (Bf) satisfies expression (2), Bf<0.0005(B)<SP>2</SP>-0.05(B).
