PURPOSE: A street lamp control system and a method thereof are provided to control, monitor, and measure automatically each load state of a street lamp, a guard lamp, and general power by using a power communication line or a wire/wireless communication line. CONSTITUTION: A street lamp control system includes a host controller, a plurality of street lamp controllers, and a sub controller. The host controller(100) is used for receiving control signals for turning on/off plural street lamps, detecting abnormal states of the street lamps, and managing and correcting the abnormal states of the street lamps. The street lamp controllers(300) are used for turning on/off the street lamps according to the control signals of the host controller or control signals of a cellular phone, measuring the effective power of the street lamps, a variation of supply voltages, and the power consumption, and transmitting the measured values to the host controller. The sub controller(200) is connected between the host controller and the street lamp controllers by using a wire/wireless communication network and a power communication line. In addition, the sub controller is used for controlling operations of the street lamp controllers according to the control signals of the cellular phone. |
