<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller for a four-wheel drive vehicle by which a much longer traveling distance in a four-wheel driving state, especially, during traveling on a slope can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: Torque to be outputted from an RMG (an electric motor) 70 to drive the rear wheels 80, 82 is limited so as to be lower than first output torque to be decided during normal four-wheel driving by a motor torque limiting means 146, until occurrence of slips at the front wheels 66, 68 is discriminated by a slip discriminating means 144.
