<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing supercritical water which makes unnecessary a high pressure pump and heating furnace, saves energy, and eliminates generation of noise and vibration. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing of supercritical water, water and a substance generating heat by a chemical reaction on contact with water while producing hydrogen are charged in a reaction vessel 1, wherein the amount of the charged water is set above the amount required for the chemical reaction. Then the vessel is hermetically closed to cause the atmosphere of a temperature higher than 374°C and pressure higher than 22 MPa to develop in the reaction vessel 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
