PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching mechanism of a circuit breaker capable of keeping high durability without abnormally wearing a latch engaging with an operation link even if a U-shaped form of the operation link formed into the U-shaped form is deformed by machining failure or the like. SOLUTION: This switching mechanism of a circuit breaker is equipped with: an operation handle 1 rotatably operated by using a handle shaft 2 as a fulcrum; the operation link 3 having one end 3a engaged with the operation handle 1 to transmit torque to the other end 3b; a latch 4 engaging with the other end 3b of the operation link 3 to receive the torque; and a moving element part 10 rotated by the torque received by the latch 4 by using a rotation shaft 6 as a fulcrum to separate a moving contact 8 from a fixed contact 9. A projection part 1d is installed on a tubular part 1c of an engagement hole 1b of the operation handle 1 for engaging the one end 3a of the operation link 3 with it to bring the one end 3a into contact with the tip of the projection part 1d.
