METHOD FOR PRODUCING TIRE VULCANIZING MOLD AND TIRE VULCANIZING MOLD

A three-dimensional solid model of a tire vulcanizing mold is created on CAD. A stack model where segments are stacked in a predetermined stack direction and the optimum value of the stack pitch is determined by considering the model production precision and production time is created from the three-dimensional solid model, and a group of data on slices corresponding to the respective stack pitches of the segments is created. According to the slice data group, sector molds of the tire vulcanizing mold are formed by powder sintering. While a laser beam is being applied to the powder, the density of the sintered body is controlled by varying the output power of the laser beam or varying the time of application of the laser beam. Thus, a varied-density distribution within the plane and in the thickness direction of the mold element corresponding to each stack layer is achieved, thereby enabling production of a tire vulcanizing mold of hybrid structure.
