PURPOSE: A sliding switch assembly for a vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce the number of parts and simplify a manufacturing process by integrating a sliding knob with an indication unit. CONSTITUTION: An indication window(31a) and a slot(31b) are formed at the front of a switch cover(31). An adjusting unit(33) is slidably mounted in the switch cover, and includes an indication unit(35) for indicating the suction degree of a vacuum cleaner, and a sliding knob(37) integrated with the indication unit and protruding outside through the slot. A sliding volume switch assembly(39) is installed at the lower part of the adjusting unit, and transmits signals to a cleaner body according to the sliding of the adjusting unit.
