PURPOSE: Provided is a method for making phylon(molded ethylene vinyl acetate) for footwear, which has no need of UV treatment, and thus simplifies a footwear manufacture process, improves the productivity, and prevents injuries caused by UV emission. CONSTITUTION: The method for making phylon without using UV treatment comprises the steps of: blending ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) with a crosslinking agent, etc., foaming and expanding the blend to form EVA sponges, and cutting the EVA sponges into a predetermined shape; applying a thermoforming adhesive to the cut EVA sponges; and inserting the EVA sponges into a mold and then carrying out press molding. Particularly, the thermoforming adhesive is obtained by adding to an organic solvent, 1-20 wt% of a modified polyethylene vinyl acetate solution and 0.5-5 wt% of a curing agent, based on the weight of the organic solvent.
