PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image information erasing unit which is capable of surely and efficiently erasing radiation image information remaining in a storage phosphor sheet, and is of low cost and low failure rate, and has, moreover, a long period of maintenance for a filter. SOLUTION: The filter 104 is formed by laminating a 1st filter 120 and a 2nd filter 122. The 1st filter 120 and the 2nd filter 122 have a parent material 126 consisting of polycarbonate, and an ultraviolet absorbing layer 128 absorbing ultraviolet rays are formed on both sides of the parent material 126. The 1st filter 120 is formed as a transparent filter by adjusting the polycarbonate forming the parent material 126, and the 2nd filter 122 is formed as a colored filter by coloring the polycarbonate in yellow forming the parent material 126. The 1st filter 120 and the 2nd filter 122 are bonded by using a transparent adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
