摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the life of a bucket by oxidation. SOLUTION: The oxidation of the turbine bucket may cause an unexpected high cost trouble with a turbine. The remaining effective bucket life is predicted by comparing the time varying temperature distribution of at least one rotating turbine bucket measured with a pyrometer with well known inspection data while the turbine is rotating by using a diagnosis algorithm. Namely, the remaining effective bucket life is predicted by calculating the ratio of a peak temperature value obtained each time one bucket is passed to the averaged temperature value of the time varying temperature distribution measured by the pyrometer for one rotation of the turbine.
