PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a comb such functions as anti-mold, deodorization, antifouling and sterilization functions to a comb by decomposing such contaminant as various germs, perspiration, and dandruff attached to the comb for combing hair, curling hair, hair dyeing or for applying a hair tonic, and to improve the combing performance of the comb. SOLUTION: In the comb 1, a liquid material with a photocatalyst such as titanium dioxide particles mixed at about several or five percent by weight is applied to teeth 2 and a base 3, and dried. In another case, photocatalyst particles are mixed at about several or five percent by weight in a resin member constituting the comb 1, and injection-molded or blow-molded in a required shape.
