PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently read data from a recording medium while preventing the discontinuance of reproduction. SOLUTION: An FTC sorting part 43 sorts data recorded in an optical disk based on the reproducing time of the data. An LBN scheduling part 45 sorts the data sorted by the FTC sorting part 43 based on the recording position of the data in the optical disk. The result thereof is made to be the scheduling result of the order of reading data from the optical disk. The invention is applicable to a recording/reproducing system such as a disk player for reproducing data from the optical disk. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
