PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling insect pests in which an insecticidal ingredient can effectively be volatilized and extermination effect on insect pests can be ensured for a long period by volatilizing the insecticidal ingredient in longer period. SOLUTION: This apparatus 10 for controlling insect pests is constituted so as to continuously feed a neutral or alkaline liquid 2 into a volatilizing body 4 in which trichlorfon is contained to produce dichlorvos and volatilize the dichlorvos.
