<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correcting means for correcting the main injection quantity according to each interval between pilot injection and main injection, capable of suppressing fluctuation in the main injection quantity in all injection quantity areas. <P>SOLUTION: A correction ratio (ΔTQH/ΔTQM) is calculated from injection characteristics (basic injection period map) of the injector, when the required injection quantity changes. The correction ratio is a ratio of TQ value fluctuation quantity gains, ΔTQH and ΔTQM each obtained before and after the injection quantity fluctuates, respectively. The correction ratio is multiplied by a basic injection end correction value TDMNBAS to obtain a final injection end value TDMN. The TDMN is added to a basic main injection period TQM obtained from a basic injection period map to calculate a final main injection period TQMF. Accordingly, fluctuations in main injection quantity caused by a change in injection interval Tint can be suppressed in all injection quantity areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
