<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a packet processor by which a packet signal is promptly transferred between a plurality of packet processing sections through respective switches. <P>SOLUTION: A first packet processing section 202 retrieves the route of an inputted packet signal 206 and adds the result to the packet signal 206 for output to a 2nd-1 packet processing section 203<SB>1</SB>. Where, the retrieval integrates and conducts the retrieval of the routes respectively done by the other packet processing sections passed through as far as a destination, The 2nd-1 and a 2nd-2 packet processing sections 203<SB>1</SB>, 203<SB>2</SB>conduct output by referring to the retrieval result added to the inputted packet signal.
