PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car, allowing efficient and easy work for assembling side plates. SOLUTION: The passenger car comprises guide portions 4a, 4b formed on skirting boards 3, respectively, installed at the peripheral edge of a ceiling portion 1 and at the peripheral edge of a floor portion 2 and rail portions 6a, 6b provided at the upper and lower ends of the plurality of side plates 5 arranged between the ceiling portion 1 and the skirting boards 3 for slidably engaging with the guide portions 4a, 4b. After the side plates 5 are slid in the state of the rail portions 6a, 6b being guided along the guide portions 4a, 4b, the plurality of side plates 5 are assembled together in sequence.
