A chip-like electronic device comprises an element body having zinc oxide material layers and inner electrode layers (2). There is a minimal distance from an outermost side of the inner electrode layer in the stacking direction to a surface of the element body. An ion intensity ratio of an alkali metal and zinc (A/Zn) is 0.001-500 in a region from the surface of the element body up to the depth of 0.9 x the element body, measured using secondary ion mass spectrometry. An Independent claim is also included for the production of a chip-like electronic device.
