A method and apparatus providing a teat cup assembly 100 that includes a tubular sleeve 160, a milk receiving cup 180 and a liner member 105. The liner member includes a head portion 130 and a tubular elongate inflation portion 110. The head portion defines a central opening 140 and an upper teat chamber 132 therein. The inflation portion defines a liner bore 118 opening into the upper teat chamber and is integrally interconnected to the head portion at a first end 114 with a second opposite end 116 being a free end 120. With this arrangement, the inflation portion is configured to be inserted through the tubular sleeve so that a cylindrical retaining extension 144 extending from the head portion is disposed around an upper end portion 170 of the tubular sleeve with the free end of the inflation portion invertedly drawn around a lower end portion 172 of the tubular sleeve and captured by the milk receiving cup with an interference fit. |
