A toilet roll dispenser in combination with a toilet roll comprises a toilet roll 14 having a hollow core 18 and a deodorant supply 36 associated with the core and a dispenser having a housing 10, a rotationally-powered mounting for the toilet roll 40, a fan 50 arranged to pass air through the core of the toilet roll and an opening 16 in the housing for air passing through the core of the toilet, the fan being activated as the roll of toilet roll is rotated. The core of the roll may be impregnated with deodorant material or a supply of the deodorant may be physically located within the core of the toilet roll. The toilet roll may be rotated by an electric motor which may be activated by an infrared sensor or a mechanical switch. In use, the area around the dispenser will be deodorised whenever toilet paper is dispensed. |
