PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hitherto unknown continuous production process to solve intrinsic problems in batch polymerization production of crosslinked polymer nanoparticles. SOLUTION: The crosslinked polymer nanoparticles with particle diameters of 1-100 nm are continuously produced by continuously supplying a reaction mixture containing at least one monomer to a reactor selected from the group consisting of a stirring tank reactor, a tubular reactor, a looped reactor, a non-cylindrical reactor, a spinning tube reactor, and a reactor comprising a combination of these reactors under reaction conditions capable of causing the polymerization of the monomer. Thus, the crosslinked polymer nanoparticles can be produced in a high productivity by the continuous process using a low cost apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
