PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an artificial marble with a high accuracy of thickness of a composite board at an extremely low cost in which accuracy of the thickness and surface properties are not required as in a case of the conventional composite materials and the installation and an apparatus for lamination are not required at all when the composite board of an artificial marble molded article and an inorganic molded board are manufactured. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the artificial marble comprises obtaining a resin composition 1 in which a thermosetting resin is compounded with such additives as a filler, a decorative material, an inner mold releasing agent and a curing agent, injecting this into a mold for casting, molding and curing this to obtain an artificial marble molded article. An inorganic molded board 3 is set in advance in the mold A for casting, and the resin composition 1 is injected and cured, and the artificial marble molded article 4 and the inorganic molded board 3 are combined and integrally molded.
