PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inducing RANTES, and to provide a pharmaceutical composition for inducing the RANTES. SOLUTION: The method for inducing the RANTES comprises administering olean-3β-hydroxy-11-oxo-12-en-30-oic acid sodium salt, or the like, to a sufferer from burns, AIDS, cancer or encephalitis, or an individual after suffering from a serious injury/major operation or an individual suffering stress, in an amount effective for treating or preventing depression of infection resistance to opportunistic infection occurring in the suffer or the individual together with, arbitrarily, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
