PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage to a rotary tool and a workpiece even in the case of an emergency stop. SOLUTION: When the emergency stop operation has been carried out during a friction stir treatment, the rotary tool 4 is withdrawn after the friction stir treatment has been finished, and then a welding gun 1 and a robot 2 are stopped.
