<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a sensor mounting position which allows the detection of the deterioration of a catalyst layer caused by its separation in high precision by simple calculation. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst layer 5 for decomposing ozone into oxygen is applied to all over the external surfaces of a cooling pipe 3 and a radiation fin 4, which constitute a radiator 2. To the radiator 2, a separation sensor 7 for detecting the survival of the catalyst layer 5 positioning in the catalyst layer 5 is attached. The detection position of the separation sensor is set based on the temperature distribution characteristics of the front face of the radiator 2 and the volume of the air flowing in the radiator 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
