The strip fabrication device has two meshing toothed rollers (11,13) to form the corrugated strip, and an adhesive delivery unit (27) applying liquid adhesive to the corrugated strip as it emerges from the formation stage. The adhesive delivery unit has a roller (45) with its surface permanently coated with a layer of adhesive (47). This roller rotates at the same peripheral speed as the toothed rollers, and is brought into contact with the corrugated strip as it runs over the output roller (13). The adhesive roller is transversely mobile so it can be pressed against then withdrawn from the corrugated strip, providing bands of adhesive of controlled width on the strip.
