Arrangement for filling liquid coolant, especially nitrogen, into IR detectors comprises a thermally insulated storage vessel (1) having an opening (3) for introducing the coolant, a run-off pipe (5) arranged at the base of the storage vessel, and units (7, 8) on the run-off pipe for inserting into the filling opening of the Dewar vessel of the detector.
